A top price for Alberto Savinio - as previously expected
The work Croix marine by Alberto Savinio was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 692,750.00 (€ 781,208.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Croix marine is the most expensive artwork by Alberto Savinio that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Croix marine von Alberto Savinio kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 692.750,00 (€ 781.208,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Croix marine das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alberto Savinio, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
