The work Italian the Rug Merchant by Alberto Rosati was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,640.81), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Rosati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marchands de tapis, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 25,700.00.

Die Arbeit Italian the Rug Merchant von Alberto Rosati wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.640,81) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Rosati mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marchands de tapis beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 25.700,00 versteigert wurde.
