In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art, which included the work The Orange Seller by Alberto Rosati. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,420.20), 73% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Rosati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marchands de tapis, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 25,700.00.

Im April 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Orange Seller von Alberto Rosati zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.420,20) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Rosati mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marchands de tapis beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 25.700,00 versteigert wurde.
