Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work La voce del deserto by Alberto Martini was worth EUR 24,000.00 to a buyer in May last year. This price was achieved in the auction Arte moderna e contemporanea at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alberto Martini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot André Breton sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of EUR 35,655.00.
