Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nature morte by Alberto Magnelli was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 75,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Magnelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Toilette in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 916,000.00 (€ 1,359,297.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nature morte von Alberto Magnelli im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 75.600,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Magnelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Toilette im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 916.000,00 (€ 1.359.297,93).
