Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Uma Thurman, New York City, 1992 by Albert Watson. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Watson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kate Moss, Marrakech, January 1993 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,464.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Uma Thurman, New York City, 1992 von Albert Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Watson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kate Moss, Marrakech, January 1993 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.464,65).
