Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Los Gatos Looking West from Picnic Ground and River Scene (a group of two) by Albert Thomas DeRome for USD 956.25 (€ 844.89). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Albert Thomas DeRome have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monterey Cypresses, Monterey Point in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,436.75).
