In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Monterey Bay from Tank Farm and Jeffers Pt. Carmel / After Storm (a group of two) by Albert Thomas DeRome. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Thomas DeRome - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monterey Cypresses, Monterey Point, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,436.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monterey Bay from Tank Farm and Jeffers Pt. Carmel / After Storm (a group of two) von Albert Thomas DeRome zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Thomas DeRome mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monterey Cypresses, Monterey Point beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.436,75) versteigert wurde.
