Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Primulas by Albert John Sherman was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 4,080.00 (€ 2,439.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Albert John Sherman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2001 the work Bowl of Flowers was auctioned for AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,094.79).
