In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Orchids by Albert Durer Lucas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,121.55), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Albert Durer Lucas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harebells in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 13,752.01).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchids von Albert Durer Lucas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.121,55) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Durer Lucas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harebells im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 13.752,01).
