In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Heather and a butterfly; and Primulas and violas by Albert Durer Lucas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,302.00 (€ 6,439.70), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Durer Lucas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harebells, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 9,560.00 (€ 13,752.01).

Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heather and a butterfly; and Primulas and violas von Albert Durer Lucas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.302,00 (€ 6.439,70) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Durer Lucas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harebells beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 9.560,00 (€ 13.752,01) versteigert wurde.
