In December 2011 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Figure by Albert Chavaz. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Chavaz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le canal de France, 1980., which sold at auction in November 2017 for CHF 3,250.00 (€ 2,776.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure von Albert Chavaz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Chavaz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le canal de France, 1980. beobachtet, die im November 2017 für CHF 3.250,00 (€ 2.776,35) versteigert wurde.
