Sold at the upper estimate price
The work South of Heaven by Alastair MacKinven was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2019. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,321.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alastair MacKinven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pop Was The Sound Of The Bubble Bursting, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,789.26).

Die Arbeit South of Heaven von Alastair MacKinven kam im März 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.321,34) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alastair MacKinven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pop Was The Sound Of The Bubble Bursting beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.789,26) versteigert wurde.
