This work of art by Alan Turner could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Twelve Drawings (Two Books) changed hands for USD 756.00 (€ 654.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Turner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In a Blue Habit in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,444.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Turner konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Twelve Drawings (Two Books) für USD 756,00 (€ 654,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Turner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In a Blue Habit im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.444,26).
