A top price for Alan Sims - as previously expected
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Memories by Alan Sims. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,958.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Memories is the most expensive artwork by Alan Sims that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memories von Alan Sims zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.958,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Memories das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alan Sims, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
