Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alan Sims could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction, the work Memories changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 528.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Sims - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Memories, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,958.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Sims konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART wechselte die Arbeit Memories für GBP 360,00 (€ 528,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Sims mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Memories beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.958,81) versteigert wurde.
