Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Big Breather by Alan Rath for EUR 1,638.00. This price was achieved in the auction Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Rath achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wall Eye I in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Big Breather von Alan Rath für EUR 1.638,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Rath erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wall Eye I im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94).
