Auction result well in line with expectations
The work SUMMER HOLIDAY by Alan Kingsbury was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,027.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alan Kingsbury have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work Self-Portrait in Duncan's Studio was auctioned for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,557.45).

Die Arbeit SUMMER HOLIDAY von Alan Kingsbury wurde im September 2002 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.027,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Alan Kingsbury konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2012 die Arbeit Self-Portrait in Duncan's Studio für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.557,45) versteigert.
