Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St Michael's Mount by Alan Furneaux was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 913.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alan Furneaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marrakesh Pool in March this year with an auction result of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit St Michael's Mount von Alan Furneaux wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 913,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Furneaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marrakesh Pool im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12).
