Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alan Furneaux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Moonlit Harbour (unframed) sold for GBP 3,060.00 (€ 3,648.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alan Furneaux; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marrakesh Pool sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Furneaux erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Moonlit Harbour (unframed) für GBP 3.060,00 (€ 3.648,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alan Furneaux; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marrakesh Pool im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12).
