Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Zero Mostel In Fiddler On The Roof by Al Hirschfeld for USD 375.00 (€ 331.18). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Martha Hyder Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Hirschfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Night At The '21' Club in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,614.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Zero Mostel In Fiddler On The Roof von Al Hirschfeld für USD 375,00 (€ 331,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Martha Hyder Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Al Hirschfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Night At The '21' Club im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.614,26).
