Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Akbar Padamsee was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,498.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Akbar Padamsee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Akbar Padamsee wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.498,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
