Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Metascape) by Akbar Padamsee was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 95,549.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Akbar Padamsee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Metascape) von Akbar Padamsee kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 95.549,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
