Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Akbar Padamsee was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 86,043.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Akbar Padamsee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Akbar Padamsee kam im September 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 86.043,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
