Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Akbar Padamsee was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,458.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Akbar Padamsee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Akbar Padamsee wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.458,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
