Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Landscape) by Akbar Padamsee was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The price achieved of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 224,829.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Akbar Padamsee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) von Akbar Padamsee wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 224.829,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
