This artwork by Akbar Padamsee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2018. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Landscape) sold for GBP 218,750.00 (€ 247,224.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Akbar Padamsee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Akbar Padamsee erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) für GBP 218.750,00 (€ 247.224,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Akbar Padamsee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.005.781,57).
