Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rooftops by Akbar Padamsee was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 912,500.00 (€ 785,148.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Other works by Akbar Padamsee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2011 the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) was auctioned for USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,005,781.57).
