Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aimé Mpane could be acquired at Bonhams in London in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction, the work Enfants jouant dans l'eau changed hands for GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,558.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aimé Mpane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Congolese12 Portraits, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,771.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aimé Mpane konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art wechselte die Arbeit Enfants jouant dans l'eau für GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.558,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Aimé Mpane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Congolese12 Portraits beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.771,10) versteigert wurde.
