Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme au long cou by Aimé Mpane was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in July this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aimé Mpane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Congolese12 Portraits in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,771.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme au long cou von Aimé Mpane wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aimé Mpane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Congolese12 Portraits im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.771,10).
