This artwork by Ai Xuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Modern Asian Art auction, the work Tibetan Girl And Dogs sold for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 145,084.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ai Xuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Longing in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,178,581.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ai Xuan erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Tibetan Girl And Dogs für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 145.084,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ai Xuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longing im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.178.581,41).
