Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Autumn Still Lingers (Paintd In 1989) by Ai Xuan. The price achieved of HKD 1,298,000.00 (€ 138,971.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,100,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ai Xuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Longing in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,178,581.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Still Lingers (Paintd In 1989) von Ai Xuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.298.000,00 (€ 138.971,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.100.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ai Xuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longing im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.178.581,41).
