Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Land with Story by Ai Xuan. The price achieved of HKD 567,000.00 (€ 68,554.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ai Xuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Longing in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,178,581.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Land with Story von Ai Xuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 567.000,00 (€ 68.554,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ai Xuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Longing im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.178.581,41).
