The work Sudden Departure by Ai Xuan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 142,873.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Ai Xuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Longing in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,178,581.41).

Die Arbeit Sudden Departure von Ai Xuan kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 142.873,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ai Xuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longing im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.178.581,41).
