Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work One Family by Ai Xuan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,695.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ai Xuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Longing in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,178,581.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Family von Ai Xuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.695,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ai Xuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Longing im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.178.581,41).
