This artwork by Ahmed Parvez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 8,960.00 (€ 10,427.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmed Parvez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,418.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ahmed Parvez erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 8.960,00 (€ 10.427,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Parvez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2021 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.418,21) versteigert wurde.
