Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Metaphorical Landscape iii by Ahmed Parvez. The price achieved of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,114.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmed Parvez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,418.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Metaphorical Landscape iii von Ahmed Parvez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.114,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Parvez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.418,21).
