Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Christies in London held the auction LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze, which included the work On a Clear Day by Agnes Martin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 226,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze durch, in der auch die Arbeit On a Clear Day von Agnes Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 226.800,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
