Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oriental Dancer by Affortunato Gory was sold in the 19th & 20th Century Sculpture auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,343.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Affortunato Gory - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Oriental Dancer, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 28,200.00 (€ 33,353.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oriental Dancer von Affortunato Gory wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion 19th & 20th Century Sculpture bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.343,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
