Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La ville qui s'endort, Benares by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 133,149.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La ville qui s'endort, Benares von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 133.149,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
