Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Milking time by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,553.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watering Cows By A River, which sold at auction in April 2004 for EUR 5,377.50.

Die Arbeit Milking time von Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.553,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
