Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Milking Time by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watering Cows By A River in April 2004 with an auction result of EUR 5,377.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Milking Time von Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watering Cows By A River im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.377,50.
