Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Dutch A Shepherd With His Flock by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen for EUR 1,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watering Cows By A River in April 2004 with an auction result of EUR 5,377.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dutch A Shepherd With His Flock von Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen für EUR 1.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watering Cows By A River im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.377,50.
