This artwork by Adrian Daintrey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction, the work The Garden sold for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,511.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Adrian Daintrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The facade of Annabel's from Berkeley Square (i); and The interior of the Clermont Club (ii) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,049.81).
