Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work A Mediterranean Coast At Dawn, With Fishermen Raising A Net In The Foreground, A Port Beyond by Adriaen van Diest. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,924.00). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaen van Diest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate rocky landscape with a drover and cattle before a stream, goats on a rocky outcrop beyond, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 17,919.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Mediterranean Coast At Dawn, With Fishermen Raising A Net In The Foreground, A Port Beyond von Adriaen van Diest zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.924,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van Diest mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Italianate rocky landscape with a drover and cattle before a stream, goats on a rocky outcrop beyond beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 17.919,06) versteigert wurde.
