Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work Portrait Of An Elderly Lady, Bust Length by Adriaen Thomasz. Key. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaen Thomasz. Key have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait de femme à la coiffe blanche ; Portrait d'homme barbu in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 162,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of An Elderly Lady, Bust Length von Adriaen Thomasz. Key zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 16.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen Thomasz. Key auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait de femme à la coiffe blanche ; Portrait d'homme barbu im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 162.500,00.
