Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Four Men Playing Skittles In A Garden, With Onlookers by Adriaen Hendricksz. Verboom. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,064.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaen Hendricksz. Verboom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A windswept tree, with travellers on a dune beyond in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 131,807.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Men Playing Skittles In A Garden, With Onlookers von Adriaen Hendricksz. Verboom zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.064,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen Hendricksz. Verboom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A windswept tree, with travellers on a dune beyond im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 131.807,36).
