Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elderly woman with her dog by Adriaan de Lelie was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,581.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaan de Lelie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An old woman frying pancakes in a kitchen, with a maid and two children; An old man reading in an interior, with a maid ironing at a table in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,530.87).

Die Arbeit Elderly woman with her dog von Adriaan de Lelie kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.581,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
