Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life Of A Dead Roebuck And Other Game; Still Life Of A Dead Hare And Other Game With Hunting Dogs by Adriaen de Gryef was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,275.63). Other works by Adriaen de Gryef have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work A Hound Guarding Dead Game Birds, A Stag And A Hare, With Huntsmen In A Landscape; And Hounds With A Dead Swan, Hare And A Boar, With Huntsmen In A Landscape at GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,413.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life Of A Dead Roebuck And Other Game; Still Life Of A Dead Hare And Other Game With Hunting Dogs von Adriaen de Gryef im Juli 2009 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.275,63) den Besitzer.
