Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Adriaen de Gryef; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Hound Guarding Dead Game Birds, A Stag And A Hare, With Huntsmen In A Landscape; And Hounds With A Dead Swan, Hare And A Boar, With Huntsmen In A Landscape sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,413.02).
